A mile from Poipu Beach Park, this modest plantation style home overlooks the sacred Hawaiian site where the ocean greets Waikomo Stream. Just a few steps down a stairway of lava rock and you’re in the stream where the giant green sea turtles often rest and feed. Occasionally a playful turtle will accompany you on your ten yard swim into the open sea. From your living room and covered patio you can watch the humpback whales and dolphins while soothed by the sounds of a gently flowing waterfall. Just around the corner is "Baby Beach" where generations of Hawaiian mothers have played with their children in the gentle surf.

The master bedroom has a king size bed with both stream and ocean view. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. The single bathroom has a combination shower/tub. Comfortably furnished with bamboo and wicker, the living/dining/kitchen area faces the stream and ocean and features a complete stereo entertainment center, including a TV with VCR. A washer, dryer, barbeque, outside shower and parking are included for your convenience.

The house has recently been remodeled and painted gray, since these pictures were taken.

Rates:

• $160 per night  (7 or more nights)

• $185 per night (less than 7 nights)

• $215 per night 12/15-1/5 (7 night minimum)

• $160 cleaning fee

• $200 refundable security deposit

• Maximum occupancy is four people
